The 300GDL on Pistonheads - anyone know it?
Does anybody know this G or anything about it? I'm searching on behalf of a close friend who is looking to buy a LWB imminently.
Also, could anyone offer any advice on what to look out for on this particular example.

hi mr.sav, turbo manual -nice g wagen -can you get the chassis and engine number from the owner as the engine may or may not be originally turbo. if that is all the corrosion that is on the vehicle then that's not too bad -better you get it given a full inspection by an experienced owner or tech to really dig deep in to anything hidden from view . it does look smart though but please get it checked out, as mistakes can be really expensive.

I was told by the owner 2 weeks ago that it was sold ( it appeared on Gumtree for a short while at
£ 4700 ) that was the reason I called the owner..
not an experienced owner but: 1991 = not an original turbo
£4,700 & £13,500 confused.....
there are various g wagens on auction sites at the moment /some with very bad corrosion that has been filled and painted over to buy a little time to 'get rid' let's be careful out there /whatever you do get the vehicle properly inspected by some one who is g experienced as a bad one can really crucify your wallet .. there are so few g wagens in the uk that there is good chance someone in our community will know of it / good or bad.

yes its a turbo ,
But I'm not sure if it's original, I'm not a G wagen Veteran , never had one before
But i love it !!!
I 've been calculating my milage and I'm currently averaging 20 mpg in London , so this is good news ....I think
It gets a lot of attention, I suppose all G's do
because before i got one i was always admiring them ... thinking maybe one day.... that day finally arrived........ yeeeha !!
i've been given some advice from another G member as far as an owners manuals go as the one i got with the G was all stuck together so I am still finding my way around it
any advice you have for me would be great.. Thanks : )
