Ex-G-wagen Owner Association memberreturns.

Some years ago, I owned a couple of g-wagens. A '89 GE280 swb, and a '91300GD lwb. These I need primarily to drive through deep snow filled Lincolnshire Wolds back roads at about 5am when on call.

I joined the GWOA and went on a couple of trips to Pro-Trax '96 and '97 for the AGM. I also was the only member who went on the August '97 trip organised by Ian Watson, green laning in Cambs and off-roading at Newmarket- more loss to the rest of the Association members who missed an excellent adventure!

Times changed, and when I was no longer needed to travel on 24hour call out, the Gs had to go, much to my regret. Even the snowfall has become a less frequent problem.

My interest in G's has been sparked again by my daughters equestrian activities. She wants a horsebox, so I am now looking out for a suitable G. Hopefully I will find one, but the prices seem to be the same now as they were 10 years ago!
