Had to get under and physically move the connecting rods ( 3 off ). When I got home I adjusted the connectors ( took up all play ) and it's been fine ever since. I think there is a set procedure for adjusting them which involves lining up holes in the lever arms and I'm sure someone with a manual will confirm this for you.
