Just bought a swb 460 series 300D and i reckon i made the right decision. I looked at loads of landys and jap 4x4's before i came accross this and they were all rotten as pears !!! The G however is rock solid underneath and drives better than any landrover i've ever driven. Sure she's a bit tatty inside, the gears are a bit tricky, and the rear door is just starting to go but she's everything i wanted in a 4x4.
I've got a few questions which i'll post in the relevant sections so i look forward to chatting with you all soon

Welcome aboard and hope you enjoy your G.
I think you'll find it will give you many many years of enjoyable driving. The rear door is a common problem but certainly not one to impair your enjoyment.
Now just wait untill you take it off road and you'll see where it really shines! Then you will unquestionably know you made the right decision.
