I'm interested in buying a Ssanyong or Daewoo Musso or Korando. I thought this mght be a good place for advice as one website claims they are just rebodied Merc G-Wagens. I will post my question in the buying advice section.

PS Before you shoot me, I do have a real Merc - a W210 E320 V6. fabulous car! But totally useless in snow and ice.

hmmm, i might be wrong but i don't think they are rebodied G. Having the same engine does not mean they are the same car...

only the engines and gearboxes are Mercedes, suspension completely different and the build quality is piss poor, Musso is a particularly ugly piece of kit but the 320 straight six is a very nice engine, and I quite like the looks of the Korando but would not buy one. You have a 210 V6 320, again the engine is probably the best bit of it. If a single car trashed Mercedes reputation for reliability it was this one  So to answer your question these Korean icons have no more in common than a TVR has with a Leyland/DAF which both at one time or other used a Rover V8, who ever wrote the article is a half wit.
