300GD 15 x 7 Alloys, best tyre size?
I know there have been loads of threads to do with best tyre sizes for various uses but having read most of them I am more confused than ever!
I am going to put some Merc 15 x 7 alloys onto my 300GD SWB with wide arches and I want to know the best tyre size to fit for general every day use whilst looking good on the car. I have seen 265x70x15 & 31x10.50x15 recommended, are these the best sizes or would another size be better?
Also, are any particular tyre brands better than others for wear & noise?

tim , 31x10.50x15 or 255x75x15 are the best sizes to go for.but this also depends on how where you are using the G?
as for tire brand, cooper stt is my only preference. great off road and very suprisingly quiet on road too. bfg at is another one i like,but the stt's come top of the list.
google tyrespec and camskill to see the stt range and prices and comparisons in sizes you are looking at. :wink:
