After 2 years perusing this site I thought I'd do the decent thing by saying hello!
I've owned my 99 G500 for 18 months now & still drive it with a smug grin as I watch pedestrians pointing then reaching for their asthma inhalors as I drive past!

Spider, who where do u get yours serviced? I've had Jeff & Chris at G Class in Malvern looking after mine they're great but a bit of a trek for us. First service I tried booking it in at was MB Dartford when I said it was a G Wagen I was asked "is that a Mercedes?" 'Nuff said really!
I have mine serviced at Gemtech in Romford http://www.gem-tech.co.uk/ the chaps are ex MB Romford technicians.I don't live far from MB Dartford but only use them for spares.

I go to MB Brooklands. Call and speak to Gordon Francis (details in the link) , he is great and knows the G very well - he drove them as a MB demo driver. Ask for Darren Collins to work on the vehicle and say your a GWOA member and was recommended by Joe Askew.
Servicing with coffee, network and a fair price!
Where possible they will pass on the MB loyalty discount
