ok, here it goes..

Jan 2006 picked up my new G320 (2 doors). As it was brand new, didn't want to take it off road yet, so I had to wait all summer long, since it doesn't rain here in summer and we have other things to do in the summer too.

September 2006, first rain, got the keys, a friend (fortunately didn't take his daughter, flipped the rear seats, put the usual useful staff in the back & off we went!!

Did many staff, climbed a few slopes, played with the mud, the usual and then decided to go to an old query, where now is used for 4X4 & enduro races. As I was ready to go down the first slope, even though my friend suggested to go out of the car and tell me where to put the wheels, I was too sure of myself & told him that there was no need to do so, as I had it!!

As soon as I left the brake paddle, so I would go down on 1st gear (low), the G started to roll on its right side, did a whole flip and landed on its wheels again..

found out that slope’s name is CALIFORNIA. In the photos it is not clear that the right column is bend.

After 6 months in the repair shop & after changing the whole cabin + everything else on the sides (hood, doors etc) the G was up & running again. As the "professionals" said, except the "cell", nothing else was damaged, like the chassis.

Next time I went off road was November 2008, 24 hours off road race in Athens. I was too scared, consequently too slow for the race. After 13 hours of driving I went home. Did one more excursion on a weekend with some friends, who helped me go a bit faster this time..

At the race:

Yeah, I think I can forgive the pic titles. Pretty well 'rolled'.

Does 'fully comp' cover one for this sort of thing?

Re: G 320 from Athens Greece

fully comp = full compensation??

normally insurance wouldn't cover anything, as they only cover accidents that happen only on asfalt roads.. But here is Greece and theres always a way round the norm..

Sorry about the titles, didn't think they would show up, can change them if you want

Re: G 320 from Athens Greece

Hello hus55,

no I don't know ANAKREON, but somebody else told me to get in touch with him, so I have already PM him

The G is working fine now, it had some silly problems, like the sunroof is leaking from time to time. Have taken it to the repair shop quite a few times. Every time they change something, but I am not sure yet that it is ok now. Also I realized after the 24 hour race that the diff locks where not working. At the shop they said that some whirring was not connected in the front (??). At least now they are working.

Once I opened the space inside the rear left wheel and found that an electrical panel was not screwed in its place, wishing that this was not the case for other staff too...

had a friend in University in London (I am 33) from Turk Cyprus, he said he was from a village that both Cypriots & Turkish leaved together without any problems. Must say though, I liked him more that the Cypriot people..

Also every time I go to Istanbul and hang out with Turkish people I have a hell of a good time. Had also many Turkish girl friends (friends not girlfriends) in London

Oh yes, forgot to say, the accident was totally MY mistake and arrogance, wasn't anybody else to blaim or their "bad eye"..

Did I mention that I have the "old" rear door? the new cabin came with one of those so they installed it and the old one is in my basement, which looks like new..

Hi Path,

Nice looking G you have there. I had a situation similar to yours. Only I had the sang froid to let the G gently fall on its side rather than roll over for half a mile (which could have been the alternative....
