Hi All,

Just joined a week ago despite having owned my silver 300GES for 14 years, and am looking forward to joining some of you at GWOA events.

Just wanted to congratulate GWOA and say thank you to everyone on the forums. I have already discovered a supplier for a stl steel exhaust - ExhaustsUK.com in Sheffield - who are significantly less expensive than having a standard MB exhaust fitted at my local garage. They were referred by a garage near Belfast that was recommended by Foneman. So many thanks for that.

Have also recieved good advice on repairs to wood veneer centre console from Fixwin 38 - thanks to you too. Will try to post some pics once I have had the exhaust done.

Finally, big shout out to the black G500 V8 SWB that was parked in West Halkin Street on Friday night. That car is a beauty.

Just checked my V5 - same G230 for 17 years now! Its been SORN for the last 2 but imminently back on the road with a lot of work.

Thanks for the exhaust tip. Mine was replaced in about '94 by buying it in the USA from MB. They shipped it to Dallas from Germany, and I picked it up from there and carried it as luggage back to Blighty! Saved a fortune on the rip-off-Britain price.
