clutch for 617a engined G

as is says clutch for 617a engined G.....otherwise know as "oil"
wots the best...wheres the cheapest...some very varing prices about....is it different to the standard engine??

Hi Mick depends what you plan to do with the G' I have one here from LUK RepSet GBP 110 it cost two years ago.( a spare for the 617a we have) Kit part number 622 0561.00 pressure plate. friction disc and thrust/release bearing..this one new but not perfect (some surface rust cos' someone opened the box :x yours for GBP 70..... but very heavy to post!! rgds Peter

Hi Mike... look at all the "meat" left on the friction disc....perhaps a touch of the "tig" here and there would give you another 50.000miles...pressure plate is ok then? there again you know now why it was'nt driving :lol:

bit of a strange one all right...was hopping it hadn't striped the splines on gear box in-put shaft, it just went instant with no slip so knew it wasnt the friction disc, was thinking pressure plate before I dismantled it!
would be allot of flaffing about to try fix it...just stick the new clutch in which is hopefully on its way!! :wink:
