diff locks on my 460
thoght I'd look at my rear difflock today never worked since I got her 3 years ago .Ive bleed it up no good,removed the slave cylinder and the coller over the halfshaft it moves only about 5 mm in towards the diff and the dog will not mesh, so I thought i would remove the halfshaft but it would not pull out even with a bloody big slide hammer on it. the bearing came out but but no further. has any one else had this problem I wonder if the dog has burred over stopping the shaft comming out. Oh the shaft came out about fourty mm and when rotated the hub it was still in the diff,anyway its back together now. any help would be appreciated

Have you removed the cylinders completely ? the 2 are linked. I recently bought a G to over haul, the diffs havent been used since popeye anhored!
Mine were full of water, & needed better piping, as the older ones just swelled. Hence less travel.

top man thats clearer than epc at work will take diff cover off and try to rotate the halfshaft can only think that the spline in the diff must have scewed as i can move the green and red parts (assuming ther still attached) think ill have to put a bigger slide hammer on the end of the halfshaft and hope for the best

the hydraulic side is fine the problem is in tthe axle ill have to strip it down but dont want to damge anything trying to get the halfshaft out regards Andy
