fuel pump
after solving the immobilizer problem i had to sort out the fuel pump "not enough pressure" i asked mercedes dealer for a price quotte he returned a ""4000,00 + vat =4760,00 euros"" :shock: :shock: how much does a 290gdt pump cost in britain???
i sourced this pumb at the military surplus store for 1300,00+19%vat big difference :lol:
Hi I think your pump is the same as fitted to the Mercedes Sprinter van engine..if so GBP 800 "over "the counter exchange" .....check your fuel tank for "fossil fuel sludge" and fit new fuel filters... sometimes the pump cannot get the correct volume of fuel to work efficiently at high revs....
From where you will get the steel brake lines?

there is this workshop in town that is making them to order custom length etc i believe i'll have a price within next week!!

thanks for the tip i am on it i stripped radiator , intercooler , air intake for cleaning the word "filth' is not even close to describe the condition,next in line is to swap rubber brakelines with braided(steel) goodridge type and of course the fuel line & filters :lol: getting there slow and steady.
the pump was out of timing, car started :lol: :lol:
