460 Propshafts interchangeable?
All,
can anybody confirm what if any of the propshafts are interchangeable eg will a diesel rear prop fit a 280 etc etc.
I have the opportunity to pick up some spares but want to know if they must be from a like for like model.

yes providing they are LWB / SWB like for like.... the intermediate shaft is engine /gearbox mated ie manual or auto...
It's unlikely but if your doner vehicle is very early, 80 or 81 it might have the lighter props with 6 bolt flanges rather than the normal 8.
And do diesels not have the balancer lump off the back of the transfer box.. so they are I suspect shorter than petrols?
