Auto Box Gear Lever Sticking??

Hi All,
A quick one- I have had a scan on the site but could not seem to figure out the clear answer to this one...

In last few days, lever has to be literally forced up and down to select gears. Very tough and slow...

Any advice on cause and how to fix?

try cleaning all the linkages.... lube the rubber bushes with vaseline..also check the gate area for foreign bodies.....

mark had a similar problem, I believe the cable became detached or bent, but i sure he will be along soon to tell you his similar problem.

Mark's big problem was breaking the cable between the brake pedal and the gearbox. The gearbox was consequently stuck in P as it is locked until the brake pedal is depressed. Stiff is probably linkages. Have you forced it recently?

hmm..having to force it daily just to drive...which is probably not great I guess!
