300 GD engine swap questions

Hi to everyone I'm new to this forum.
My old OM617 engine does not give me the power that I need from this car.
I'm using it for snowplowing and on high heels it is not producing enough torque to do this job.
I'm planing to change the engine and the Gearbox. I have a crashed W124 with 300 diesel motor 24 valves with 136 p.s. and 210 Nm torque which should do for that purpose.
My question is is it possible to use the Gearbox from the car 722.3 or 722.4 i think that the gear numbers are pretty much the same as my old Gearbox 720.1
And is it possible to use make the Gearbox of the car (W124) to run on 1st because the numbers on the plate that indicates the gears starts from 2nd

Please help a new enthusiast
