Do you know about the http://www.g-class.ru/ website? I think there is quite an active Mercedes G Club in Moscow.

The year is 95th. Tell me please, which hardtop you’ve got. Is it easy to install and where can I buy one? I'm asking because here in Russia a new soft roof will cost around 15000 Euro
Now I’m looking for the new original disks and a hardtop

By the way may be you know where Mercedes gets (purchases) material for its cabriolets
And is it possible to install a salon filter?

And is it possible to install a salon filter?A few months ago Tschiewagon in Austria was selling a "used but new" power soft-top with all hardware to mount on the older body style. He may still have it...

Air filters on Gs are not always identical to the filters on the saloon variants of the same engine.

Re: Hello from Russia

As far as I know the guys at Tschiewagon instaled this power soft top on a 280GE, they were restoring and the car is already sold.

Maybe http://www.schmude-hardtop.de/index.php?article_id=56 is worth a look. Also ORC(German company, which sells offroad equipment for Gs) has a shup in Moscow http://www.offroad-exclusive.com/ .

Re: Hello from Russia

look guys, owning my cabrio since 2001 made me search endlessly for years :(

the best place to get a hardtop is ebay.de  THE ONLY PLACE :!:

dont rush, keep prowling ebay.de , one will turn up. then jump in the G and go get it :D

i still check ebay.de for hardtop prices and see them going for 800-1000 euros from time to time.

my hardtop is a very early model, i got it from a G cabrio member from this club 8) we had a deal and exchanged his hardtop for my folding soft top.

i will pass on a link of a hardtop when one comes up

ps, your G350 sits a bit low at the front :? then again your tires are BIG!

what make are the rims and what size are the tires?

Re: Hello from Russia

I don´t know if Germany is the right place for him. 99 on the numberplate means the car is registred in Moscow or about 2000 kms from Germany.

Hi Benzclub and welcome. I must say you have a lovely vehicle I hope you have a gerat time here on the forum!

Hu55 and co you have now got me into real trouble and for that I will not forgive any of you

Both my wife and little girl (Francesca) saw both the G Cabs and guess what? Yeah they want mummy to get one. What is the problem you ask? Well Clare will not 'do' a LHD and I understand that there is a RHD but they want £49K and its 8 years old!

Spider1V - NOT in a good mood

When I was there he had one on the 280GE (assuming you are talking about the purplish(?) one) and a spare one in the yard.

there is a special carrier for cabriolets - you can just see it in Hus' photo of his cabrio
