Help sharp knocking sound on my 300 GD
Hi all,this knocking sound is only heard when going over bad hole in road and is under my feet in the footwell area on the drivers side any help thanks :?:
Could be one of the brackets holding the exhaust in place, may have broken or rusted through?
Could it be a broken spring? Is the G leaning to that side?

You do not mention wheather your car is a 460 or 463 chassis, but never the less.
As above threads suggest, it could be exhaust or heat shield related, there is also another alternative possibility. Check on the the anti roll bar bracket(s), cracked or broken can be clonky.
