Hi, not sure if this is the right section for this, but i'm trying to find out some info on a G-Wagen. A friend of mine several years ago converted a 280 G to twin turbo's, when he worked at Derbyshire Turbos in Tansley. Over this last week we have been talking to a guy who worked on it at a garage in Conventry.

I'm trying to find out some info on this particular G, as my friend has lost his work book that he kept info on these things in. All we can remeber about the conversion is it used 2 KKK turbos that were fitted to a pair of front exhaust manifolds that were turned upside down and had flanges welded to them for the turbos. It had an intercooler fitted. It also had some electronics installed to give it extra fuelling when under boost.

I'm trying to find some pictures and info on this vehicle to help us twin turbo my W123 280E saloon. I can remember John talking about the conversion when they had finished it, but unfortunately i never saw it. He came in once it was finished going on about how much of a beast this G had become, even he was amazed at how much it had transformed by fitting the turbos.

Any help would be great, Many thanks Frank.

the only one I know was done by a club member many moons ago, he now owns a jeep and frequents awdc events, it was a SWB silver one, but I believe he lived near southampton. It blew up in the end !
