Sorry just use "view latest posts" - so didn't pay attention to what section it was in.

But I do seem to be making a habit of it with your posts....

Thanks. Daft really, can't feel the 3rd to 4th gear change, and convinced myself she was over-revving/not changing up a cog!!.

20mph/1000rpm in the diesel auto...just in case someone with a diesel has accidentally clicked on the petrol section looking for this information.

:wink:

And yes it was in 4th, just in case you were wondering :lol:
I think the gearing is high on the 300s to give it brisk acceleration, and it also generates enough engine noise to make most people look up from the sidewalk at what is coming their way...not so quick as it sounds

Re: Enginesrev/mph?

Yes the 300diesel certainly offers brisk acceleration. Good thing it also produces plenty of noise so that the people in front get out of the way in time. Only the other day I almost managed to catch a guy on a electric wheel chair, but he gave me the slip.

Likewise, cruised the 55 into work this morning at 2000 rpm. MUCH more relaxing...and got 13 mpg!!

Sligtly more economical I thing I was getting 14.9, but that said if I had your 55;
a) 60 would be a figure I would pass on my way to Mach1 :P
b) 13 MPG would be a figure to deram of! (thats why the Mrs said no to an AMG :cry:

Do you take yours off road? and if so, any good? or is it a 'street machien'?

Cheers

Truthfully? Not too much....muddy fields + trails at best. Like most owners, I get to an event in my vehicle, so loath to render it unroadworthy for the trip home!!.
