Hi all.
After a fairly trouble free weekend at Seven Sisters,my clutch release bearing has finally given up,so after driving all the way home to Southampton with no clutch i reckon i need to replace the lot.
Would anybody know the book time for replacing a clutch on my vehicle as it will give me an idea as to how much of a job it is to do.Also is there anything in particular i need to watch out for when taking the box in and out.On first inspection is doesn't look like to much of a nightmare, but ive never done one before so any advice from you guys would be much aprecieted. cheers Tim

Hi Timbo, it's a pretty straight forward job really. Take off the short prop shaft, remove the selector rods and stabiliser bar, disconnect the breathers, disconnect the clutch slave line. Remove the rear gearbox mount on cross member after supporting the box on a trolley jack. Now if you put another jack under the rear of the engine and a wedge above to 'hold' the engine in place you can remove the bell to engine bolts and slide the gearbox back enough to change the thrust bearing without dropping it.
Good luck
