I fell In Love

I fell in love with the G Wagen about 12 years ago when I had access to one of my friends Dads G for the Summer. It was instant maybe a little sad but it was love at first sight and drive. I always said to myself I will own one of these beautiful machines. Time past looking occasionally at G Wagen adds and looking longingly as they drove past but never really having the money or justifying the buy. I got married and had two beautiful kids but I couldn't hold it down any longer I had to get one. It was now or never. We had the funds available and found a stunning 300GD LWB 1989 for sale that had one lady owner. A farmers wife who had bought it from new with all the mod cons of the time, electric windows, metallic paint the list goes on. They still had the original receipt for the G. It was better than I imagined I love it it's amazing you can't beat the feeling of driving a Mercedes G Wagen, the authority on the road, the smell of diesel, the rumble of the engine as you start her up and the smile on my kids faces as they can now see over all the cars on the road. My wife was a little worried and unsure at first but now she understands the feeling of these vehicles. We are now planning a two week trip to the south of France and northern Spain with the family. We are also looking forward to coming on the trips that are organized through GWOA. Feels great to be here.
