G Wagen propect from London/Surrey
Hey there,
I am new on this forum as I am hoping to purchase a G-Wagen in the very near future. Currently I am scouring the adverts for suitable vehicle. I love engineered vehicles and am a big fan of pre 95 Mercedes Benz. So the G fits the bill. I want a trck that can lug stuff, parts, cars, bikes and provide daily transport to work. Also I would love to have a go at some green laning and track driving.
I am hoping to purchase a LWB G that I can hopefully have converted to run on LPG.

Hope you will find what your looking for- it is quite a challange, but when you get the one you want - boyso boy do you feel great! Was parked up by the charring cross Hotel in London on Monday and Tuesday, apart from all the staff at the hotel, the Transport police man outside the station really loved it (so much so he looked the otehr way while I was unloading!)

If it is the one near reading - I am there tomorrow getting a few things done. Are you chatting to James? I found him very helpful and the work that is being done stems from our agreement when I brought my G almost 5 months ago!

Hi Guys,
Its good to be on here. Actually I have been lurking around for a while but never thought of getting one as a utility vehicle, which is mad as it ticks so many boxes for me. Also I imagine a G will make me drive slower which will be good news for my wife.
I already know James 'Hot66' and is fellow car buddy.
My budget is pretty miserable actually being around 4k mark or less if I can help it ;). However I have been pretty good a scoring some good deals on cars in the past and so am hoping some luck, a bit of cool negotiation and scouting the right car and being there at the right time will help me along. Other wise I'll have to wait a little and up my budget. However I have seen G's that need work and are overpriced, simply because they're a G.
I am planning on looking at a car in the G wagen centre, which I know has had some mixed reviews from some people. I have also expressed an interest in two of the car in the for sale section.
Anyway I shall see how it goes. I feel a bit of a fraud on here until I actually get one, but I thought I'd introduce myself as I am responding to sale ads.
