Info on my G wagen
Hi all
Posted this also on the members caht section .Would be glad for th info.

I bought my G wagen nov/dec06 and found the old membership card in the clove box today when I was cleaning it. The card was issuelotid by Max in 2002 membership no:847 the reg no when I bought it was J396 PBV
If anybody has any info on this G would love to know as much as possible.

Hi,
if you write to dvla - for £5 they will provide you with all the previous owners and photocopies of V5 etc.
You have to specify why you want the information but I had no problems.

Hi Quinzil the registration number you quote would have been issued by DVLA in 1992/3 and the G' was built in 1987.....do you have any old UK Mot certificates or the original UK registration document which may show a previous registration number.GWOA records may reveal who the membership number was issued to.......the regn No you indicate was first issued in Preston......

Re owners - it's had 4 previous keepers, plus whoever you bought it from who had it since 2002.
Wonder if it had Military or Royal ownership for first 4 years?? Or was used as an estate vehicle? Might explain why it wasn't apparently registered for 4 years?

Not so worried about conditions etc or who treated it bad or good more to trace how far back it was in the hands of GWOA memebers and see if it had many owners or a long term owner . Its 21 yrs old this year so not bad for its age .
Sure its given some old owners a smuch pleasure to drive as it gives me
