Re: Da fleet

BTW I was once driving down the M6 in Birmingham feeling quite smug that I could get 80+mph out of my old car and your 461( previous owner) shot past me - well above 90.........made me smile

Re: Da fleet

She will certainly will cruise effortlessly at eighty / eighty five anything much above that ? I dont been there.
PS.
There is not a lot of point in keeping the No plates obscured seeing as how the local DVLA sent a couple of unencrypted discs through the post to Cardiff -- and lost them -- this recenty ie. a long time since the Child Benefit fiasco.
Doh !

Re: Da fleet

thanks for the info Isa.

that is a rare G indeed and obviously worth more than few G's i've seen in the past :!: thats a sprinter engine is it not :?: how does that compare to 617a or 300 td engine in bhp and torque comparisons?

howard also drives the same G in swb?

Re: Da fleet

Actually Howard's car is much posher... with ABS, aircon, electric windows, etc.

In terms of power and torque, both engines are very similar... but the newer one is much more economical on fuel and much smoother...

Re: Da fleet

Oih,
Bugger off !
Its been looked after.
I had it washed for the MOT.
Think the springs in the back are too soft though, she is sitting too low.
PS
How come you think ATL looked after it, just because it was washed?
It is currently mostly being driven by the equivalent of a little old lady.
Almost in a state of suspended animation.

Re: Da fleet

Denty,
No results posted yet from Withams last auction ie for the 406 Mog
I did not go for three reasons
( i ) The advice from members of this forum
( ii ) I had bought the MB Trac
( iii ) the 15 year old daughter's "boyfriend"? was over to visit for the first time.
He SEEMED like a nice lad, but I can still remember, however vaguely, how much trouble my ballbag was giving me at his age.

Re: Da fleet

im only 20 and even i agree with point three too! just make small comments like 'all it takes is a sleeve to get caught in all that machinery and all theyll find is a pile of crushed bones, they were often used as murder weapons in the old gangstar days you know'

saying that if your too tough they rebel like my cousin did, you werent sure if she was dating the bloke or what ever lived in his hair at some points!
