All,

took the old girl out today and she was running rough (maybe 5 cylinders)?

All plug leads are tight on etc etc but thinking could this be a blocked injector?

What would check and what sequence?

cheers

Re: Running rough ?

Could be false air in the system - check vacumn lines, especially the ones under inlet manifold - this happened on my 230 - ran like a bag of spanners.
Could also be the cold start injector not cutting off.
There is a really good book called
Bosch Fuel Injection & Engine Management Book
Invalvuable info and worth it's weight in gold.
Try the simple things first.
engine temp sensor is another thing

Re: Running rough ?

Seem to recall it's done this since I bought her (just putting back on road after major tidying session - about 12 months of 'odd hours' here and there.

To add, well serviced with new plugs etc, dizzy cap in good condition.

Feels down on power and engine has a little shimmy.....?

Re: Running rough ?

Hi there are many threads on this subject in the forum but paramount is an item by item check on the various points referred to when you click onto" Bosch K Jetronic fuel injection " in your search engine.any vacuum leak at all will result in a "rough running engine" along with air - fuel mixture. dwell angle and fuel pressure. blocked fuel filter/accumulator...and there's more...read up on the "troubleshooting" pages......
