Hi all.

After a 4 year dalliance with a Cayenne S, back in the fold with a G500SWB - the G wagen thing is addictive and haven't been able to shake it off. Previously owned an 89 280GES in Almandine (had onelabrador), then a 94 300GEL (for twolabrador), then the Cayenne - a very capable mode of transport - and now a G500 SWB (sadly back to onelab again). I do the V8s, and husband sticks to the less practical air-cooled transport, but the G has put a smile on his face too.

Have been a regular visitor, so passing acquainted with a few of you. Just paid membership (presumably will get a membership number somewhere), and look forward to G ownership again.

Gs rule in Shropshire!

Welcome back and welcome to the Forums. Always good to see more women around. Must admit I do find it strange that there aren't that many as most Gs I ever see are driven by women.

Thats a beautiful G you've got there. Is it RHD or LHD? The spare tire cover is intriguing - it's not chrome and it's not cloth. Is it painted metal?

Sorry to hear you're down to onelab. I've been looking for one but don't think I can justify it in Central London.

Did "borrow" one for two weeks but unfortunately he was Gold and my interior black.... even after a MB pseudo vallet it still bares testament to him...

Re: Back in the fold

Marg,

Whereabouts in shropshire?

Russ and I (both in Trefonen near Oswestry) will be doing a spot of green (more like brown) lanning over christmas although I suspect its probably more suited to crusties than your very nice shiney example

If only I someone wanted to buy my nice 04 Rangie I would be looking at a shiney to accompy my crusty 280.

See if James at G-Wagen will take a trade in? - I got a very fair price for my ML against my G and I know he has a 2001 RHD SWB V8 in Black just sitting there.............
