got the G out of the garage today
Just though i should take a picture of the progress on the G today while it was out doors
Looking good Mike.Lots of brave cutting there. Just wondered if those rims were standard 16" merc widened?
Is this what they call a 'bob cat' conversion?

He is welcome to do so......... when he can pry my keys out of my cold, dead, hand! :P :P
Although a V8 500 and that would mean you would have to apply for a pilots licence! 8)

Looking very good Mike! Can't wait to see it off road. Checked out that new Pay & Play near Hatt. I had loads of fun...no one else on site! My Camacs were really more like slicks in the mud/clay, badly need Mud tyres. Only got stuck once...well more of a safety thing really if I'd had have slipped sideways an inch more I'd have fallen off the edge! Chap very happy to get his Tractor out. He's lying 10th in the LR natioals at the moment...likes the G wants one for training.
mike, will u be entering challenge events with,if so how serious are u going to be,and what winch set up are you using?
Mr Perfect, do you reckon he has the makings of serious competition for you?
Mind you after seeing some of the stuff ye do in full challenge events, it won't be staying body beautiful for long when finished.
Regards,
Mike
with what mike is doing it will be more than capable, as long as the winch set up is to the std of all the others and he is a good driver, I want to see more G's in challenge events, LR's bore me even if I do co-drive for one. also the little 230 might be a little under powered but its not all about brute force. We entered the baskerville challenge recently in scotland, and you have a marshall follow around to each section. he said that we were faster than all the other well known big engined brutes in most of the sections because we thought about how to attack it. We missed 2nd place due to our team mate breaking his steering arms twice, because he wasnt looking !. This put us behind in time while being repaired so we lost 2 section the first day and possibly 2 the second. Tortoise and the hare come to mind
mike are you going to lose the petrol tank so its in the rear tub ?
Hey Simon (SCC28) are you taking note?
the rims are widened peugeot boxer van rims
its a bit bobtailed only 180mm
