Musso engines
I think im right in thinking that early 2.9 mussos use a licence built merc engine? i've found a musso for peanuts locally to me which needs a gear box and a friend has a sprinter gearbox? will the two mate together and fit in the G???
The 2.9 musso will bolt straight to your 230 box - no need to change.
Which musso engine is it?
Still a bit fuzzy on this but if it's a 602 it's merc, 662 it's a clone but not necessarily a bad thing. non turbo - 90 ish bhp
turbo - 120 ish bhp
A 230 radiator fits and it has the lower air intake but i don't know about the sump
I bought a musso 290 turbo diesel with intercooler last week but then the seller sold it to someone else :evil:
The mussos tend to have cooling problems and blow gaskets but that may not be the engines fault.
If you buy it I have a bit more info I've collected.

its a 2.9 but the guy i spoke to didnt know if it was turbo or not, i might go and have a look tomorrow night. for £200 i think it will be a shed!
