Well I've gone and done it again, I've bought a 230SWB manual, of 1988 vintage (although on a p/plate). She's absolutely scruffy, and has a knackered (we think) engine.....but is MOT'd for quite a while.
I sourced, via a friend (thanks Bear), a brand new genuine MB wing for £50 delivered, now all i have to do is sort the passenger seat, a few bits and bobs, and, oh yes, get it running lol.

Why the hell do we do this (especially in the winter????) lol

Ah! Ah! the phantom Cranleigh fuel cap nicker...had to be something to put Cranleigh "on the map" apart from a rusty white G' with a whacked motor...our local Merc breaker has a selection of Petrol and diesel engines "as removed" from GBP 300 add GBP 100 for shipping to GB....
