glow plug light on 290 gdt
Hi everyone,
any advice is welcomed in the aftermentioned problem. The light of the glow plug light is staying on after the start of the engine, I have changed glow plugs and the respective relau.

Hi are the glow plugs heating when the light is on?? if it is only the light then it is probable that one of your replacement glow plugs is faulty or the timer has a fault.does the light go out eventually? like within one minute...
Please be more specific. The workshop manual states the following:
If:
Lamps lights up during the preheating;remains permanently illuminated at the end of the safety cut-out time or after glow time.
Then:
Relay contacts do not open; relay defective
Caution: battery discharge
Hi all,
finally the mistery was gone. The new relay bought by the local MB dealer was fault!!! I changed the relay and the light is out!! Unfortunatelly I had opened the new relay and now is out of quarantee. At least my G is working proper.

I will check if the glow plugs remain heating countiniously or stops after a certain time. The yellow lamp it remains on even when the engine is hot.
