cheap g on pistonheads £700
dont now if this belongs to anyone on here it but it seems cheap enough.
i saw that earlier, i was guna make the lady buy it but she has to do to much mileage sadly
OK I will pass on the obvious joke, but just out of interest if a G is well looked after, what mileage can you typically expect from an engine? In my quest to secure a good G I have seen mileage from 16K up to interstellar 160K.
I am thinking that maybe Diesel would have more than petrol or does it depend? (Amount of off roading, motorway, and urban driving styles??)

I think there is a member with 350k miles... his G still looks immaculate too. 200K miles is not uncommon.
Diesels are considered more reliable - you see MB diesel taxis with 500K to 1 million miles on them in Germany. Although the engine you're getting is pretty robust.
And yes driving style does influence it.
Got to say that for £700 that looks like a great vehicle.
A number of GWagen enthusiasts attended the 25th anniversary of the G organised by the German G Club in Merklingen, Germany in June 2004 and one of the Gs that we travelled in was Roly’s W463 300 GD LWB Auto. At that time, Roly's G exceeded 180,000 miles and it went like a rocket (at times we travelled at an indicated 95 mph and we averaged 20 mpg). So high mileage is not a particular issue if you keep your G well serviced and you steer clear of frequent wading.

Not much to say... just a few of these were made to order for a lot of cash (can't remember exactly but surely close to € 300,000) so that it has been effectively killed by the G55K (lighter and more powerful).
