hi all,ive recently bought a 230 ge,1985 swb in silver,it needed some work to get through the MOT,but im all legal now. :D .it was an EBAY find that i put a bid on and ended up winning at £600,so with new KONI rear shocks, front exhaust,a pair of handbrake cables, and two tyres,it now owes me about a grand.if i love it i will keep an eye out for a later 300 gd swb.
off to salisbury plain on sunday to try the old girl out!!

Re: new here, Hi

hi,had a wicked day,i was out with 3 wrangler's and my mates unimog, which is an absolute monster!.the g was pefect and surprised everyone present with its ability, all the 4wd systems worked perfectly, and the difflocks were fine too, although the front one sometimes takes ages to disengage.the going was very muddy with deep water but i didnt need towing out once, however i did need a small push when i bottom'd out on a pile of gravel and all 4 wheels were off the ground 8) .i have a video of this which i will add a link to. cheers tim
