All,

had a couple of small stone chips under edge of windscreen rubber so i peeled back rubber and applied rust convertor and paint with atouch up pen.

I also applied some waxoyl under the rubber, this gave me an idea.... applie waxoyl around all window rubbers??

Good idea or not??

To stop overstretching window rubbers I used a small syringe for the repair above - worked a treat. Should I continue round rest of windows??

Cheers Andy :?:

Yes is short answer.

Have all windows out and the rear side windows had a fair bit of corrosion even though nothing showed from the outside. Had to weld in new metal for verticals and plug weld odd hole too.

Then go do same on rest of body.. especially front bottom front wings, inner wings at meeting of bodyshell and front wings where they meet bodyshell, hollow section under windscreen from inside, up inside bottom corner of doors, base of doors, rear wings at the top front double skin, and then rear panels around lights plus base of rear door... just usual places ;-)

waxoyl is great on window rubbers, i've soaked old unobtainable screen rubbers in it and they get nice and soft and flexible.
