Just got a fully comp quote for my 83 GD 460.......£196

Classic car limited mileage etc. looks good to me any comments?

Do I need extra or different insurance for green laneing (it is public highway!) or Pay & Plays?

Re: Insurance

Depends on your insurance company. Each is different. Adrian Flux includes off-road use.

Re: Insurance

Note most classic insurance polices do not build up NCB .. they nick it off your main policy... so when main policy has a problem .. so does your classic policy.. BTDT... had 3 polices, one full, 4yr+ 3yr.. went abroad for 18 mths while maintaining the classic policy .. when I came back they said I had no NCB even though the classic policy was continuous for some 6 years

Apart from that ... sounds fine. A-plan were the cheapest for non standard stuff.

Re: Insurance

I think I'll take it then! The policy is through Adrian Flux from one of Maxwells links.
I have FNC bonus on my Zaffy. Interestingly when I tried to take out dual car insurance with the same compary they wanted £1300 to tag the G on. That was nearly the shortest G ownership in history!

Off road....If I hit a tree do they pay????

Re: Insurance

It should cover that if you have the 4x4 insurance.

Also have you told them you are a GWOA member and given them proof of your membership? You get a discount if you do.

Re: Insurance

Yep I mentioned GWOA. I must check its the cover you're talking about...because although I asked for 4x4 when he quoted me I think he said Classic insurance ? The details are being e-mailed to me. I must admit I only expected 3rd party for off road so thats a real bonus!

Re: Insurance

looks all hunkydori! I have to send 6 pics of my G in (best angles of course!) and sign a limited mileage form :D

So my £25 to GWOA has saved me £70+_ here due to Member help and Discount :D :D And I have much fuller cover than I thought possible :D :D

Cheers Guys
