722.5 into a 460 w/om 602
Well off we go again attempting the hard jobs. Picked up a 722.5 and will attach it to the back of my Sprinter powered 460 LWB. The 5 speed will give me a quieter cruise . Was this gearbox ever used in a G?
i heard a guy in n-cyprus fitted a mercedes 312 van gearbox to his 460 lwb thats now converted from a 280 into a w124 multivalve 300D.it apparantly "burns rubber :shock: "
Mine gets off the mark pretty quickly as it still has the 4.88 diffs but feel an overdrive top gear would make it a well sorted truck. Just not sure if the 722.5 was ever offered with the OM 602 Sprinter engine in any other MB product. Onwards and downwards I will go . I do have some reliable French diesel cars as backups .

Sorry I appear to have 3 722.5 Transmissions. No idea how I can shed the other 2
