Brabus.Hype or reality.
I dont know much about the 'Brabus' brand,so would like to know what makes it differant to the standard if its on a G. How is the suspension differant ? Thats what interests me the most. Cosmetics...some are good, but its a matter of taste.
What interests me the most is handling and power enhancement. Does it mean that the ride is harder ? etc etc
GS.
How many people that post on here have both vehicles to compare, I reckon one, and there both for sale, I doubt your going to get what you want here, benzworld or pointed three would be better.
The quality of Brabus products cannot be questioned-however how suitable they are is I suppose personal preference.
I am in the process of replacing Brabus suspension on a 2001 model with the standard factory set-up.The gain in handling is certainly not worth the loss in ride.
Some of the "MONOBLOCK" wheels look pretty good though.....

Actually I would guess that there are more people here with Brabus Gs than in the US - at least the early 463s. I can't think off the top of my head who but there are definitely a small handful of UK owners.
GSpot try searching the forums. I think the biggest complaint was fuel economy goes right out the window.... but the acceleration made it worth it....
More extreme tweeks than AMG, hugely expensive stupid ostrich leather and cosmetic enhancments that I think actually detract from the G's look. Also to the layman you will be driving around in a bus sized vehicle with BRABUS written on the back (BRA-bus :)
The G was designed as military euro-jeep. I think the 400 and 500 take things as far as they are meant to go. The G should never have a 500 hp engine or ostrich leather. Leave that sort of thing to P Diddy.
