Re: my new ride

look in to my eyes, my eyes, not around the eyes, in the eyes. 3 2 1. You will now stop being very silly, bang your head against the nearest wall, AND SELL THE BLOODY NISSAN !

its wide though, its a job to judge the width, thinking of sticking G wagen indicators on the wings to help me judge and I wont feel so guilty driving it. Might even buy a merc key ring

Well I like them, nothing wrong with a bit of perversity, sorry diversity :D :D

Indeed I have looked at them but struggled to find a decent diesel.

It certainly looks tidy, as they can out do 460's for retuning to iron oxide rapidly.

Wonder if the 4.2 would fit in a 460?

Re: my new ride

Dear Mr Perfect,

Very soon now when your nice new Prime Minister gets round to implementing your new carbon tax, your lovely 4.2 datsun may become very expensive very fast.

On the idea of selling your little G wagen, yes I think its a great idea, the proceeds of the sale could go to put tax, diesel and eventually body filler into the Datsun.
Wake up and smell the coffee.
Regards,

Mike

P.S. Can I have first refusal on your purposeful and pristine G wagen if you eventually loose your mind and decide to sell it.

Re: my new ride

The G s staying, I am exporting them to Ireland, then buy some Irish plates and hey presto, free motoring, or I could fill it with petrol, nails and some gas bottles and set light to myself for a laugh outside number 10, if it gets to expensive to run.

well its been 4 weeks now and love it, the engine is great, now running on veggie oil, passed its MOT with flying colours, but tin worm is apparent all over the chassis, lost count of the amount of plates welded every where, its now stronger than when it first left the production line, what a shame as its a very good motor.

Re: my new ride

hey ian,its not a bad motor at all. i had an exact model in n cyprus with a warn winch and all the bels and whistles!! it was a mean looking vehilcle but felt a bit limo'sh in comparison to a G. It bloody guzzled juice though..!

the 4.2 sounded good though, but my mate had a GR 2.8 TD which was a bullet!!

nice bit of kit for that sort of money peter. (that snorkel looks neat mate)

enjoy

Re: my new ride

This maybe a stupid question on the snorkel thing, but seeing as someone else has mentioned it, how do you open the bloody bonnet with it attached ?

Regards,

Mike

P.S. If you decide to blow yourself and Mr. Brown up would you be so kind as to leave me your Oh So great G in your will. I'll be watching sky news!!
