Where to put Oil filter on a G290dt
Not happy with where my Oil filter is on my RHD G. When you put a Sprinter OM602 in your G you have to use the G intake manifold. This means a relocation of the Filter housing. Years ago a chap in the UK sent me photos of his RHD 461 and I have lost his email address. ideally i would like a photo of this area or some idea where they put it on Production 461s. Me thinks it can fit between intake manifold and firewall and do away with pipework as it would bolt to cooler. John

Have a look at this pic of a 461 GDT. Not the best angle, but you can see the oil filter (just) to the left of the battery. It fits between the manifold and the firewall in the area you think is best. That's where it is on my om603 too. So I think that's the place to go for

Thank you . I see it Roly and thats where I will move it to. It would appear filter is fimly attached to the cooler housing. It looks like it may be a screw on Cartridge type. Will check MB parts book for 461 and see if that helps.
