Rear brake adjustor.......463, any alternatives?
I replaced both mine a year or so ago for £25Ea or there abouts from the local parts shop. Can't remember the manufacturer but it wasn't a problem to get them in in 24Hrs.
Only difference was that the bleed niple on the aftermarket ones was too short so I bought a new one for 50p
If you can't find them let me know
Hi Martin,
We are all very well here thanks. The arrival is doing just fine.
Apologies, I did think that you were talking about the brake cylinders. No knowledge of the adjuster. Presumably you have tried soaking it in diesel for several weeks and gently applying force WD40 etc?
Roly
wind them right out then cover with copper ease.
Once they had nice dust boots fitted to them to keep the manure out (well looks like it) ... long since gone on mine.. a wee fiddle with spray can and a lot of fiddling and they started to work and could be stripped and greased.. still never going to be the glory of new with chrome plated adjuster wheels and rubber boots over the threads but at those prices I will keep greasing!
Hi Roly,
trust this finds you and the expanding family well.....
Not sure on this one, may be down to my poor photography.... did you mean the brake slave cylinders? There is no bleed mech on the adjustors which sit at the bottom of the brake back-plate.?
I have the brake cylinders in place @ roughly £25 a side.
Cheers
