There is one for mid to high 80s in Autotrader. Save's a few thousand £.
A friend is looking at buying one too - but the pricing for a LHD is so so much cheaper. It will be that or a G320 CDI.
Check it out very carefully, I was interested in buying that G500 Cabrio classic off John Weir in Perth. They were not exactly user friendly, as they said they were not geared up to put the car into a decent state before sale, ie I would have been buying a £40,000 car with banged up wheels and scratches on the paintwork. Maximum discount they would allow was £1000 for me to get the work done and I was quoted closer to £5000 to fix it up down here :shock: After that negiotiations kind of stalled as thats not how I expect a £40,000 purchase to feel, takes all the pleasure out of it.
Any idea what happened to that Cabrio? That was nice....
Watch this space Maxwell, next time that G pops up on the radar I am buying it for sure (hopefully by then the current owner will have refurbished it a bit ready for me :D )
There is one for sale in the US with only 11,500 miles... not sure on how easy it would be to bring back though.
Scotland is too far away for me, hopefully next time it surfaces it will have got further South. I had this deal pretty much sewn up before, G500 gets transported down to Oxford from Perth on a truck, SLK gets taken away back to Perth and everyones happy. The salesman did not have enough authority to negotiate so all went wrong over a couple of Thou. Oh well If I ever get it will let you have a spin Maxwell, thanks for looking on the web for another one, Cheers Alex
