I've just renewed my Road tax for my G, I was thinking I'd be hammered for a 3ltr 4x4, but the cost was only £15 more than my Zaffy 2ltr DTI is there a sliding scale or am I paying the same as a bloke with a 4.6 ltr Chelsea tractor? I don't know wether to be please my G's that cheap or cross my very ecconomical Zaffy is so expensive? or

Re: Road Tax

Since I presume you are talking about your 1983 "G", it is "flatrated" at £175.00 as CO2 ratings were not introduced until 2001.

Re: Road Tax

Grendle,
I only found out when I was taxing three of them in Janurary this year and was pleasently surprised at only being asked for £175.00.

Re: Road Tax

Well unless the greedy C--t ups the "flatrate" he wont, I gather that would upset a lot of classic car owners so probably not

Re: Road Tax

I taxed the 3 litre petrol guzzling G in January for £175 and in Feb went to tax the eco friendly petrol sipping SLK and they want £190!!! First chance I get I am ripping the cat off the G and tuning it up to run on alcohol see if we can get the emissions above 500 g/km
