After shocks comes Springs???
I see you have done your home work. the Bilstein B6 Sport shock is the replacement for Mercs Heavy duty shock part number 005323 4200 which is paired to Mercs Heavy duty Red front spring part number 460 321 05 04. The Red spring probably has the same characteristics as the ORC spring. Personally I would ask ORC to spec the shocks.
Howard et al, .. I'd like to take this a wee bit further please...
You mentioned stripes and colours, reading on several threads, most describe their springs based on colours, Red, Orange etc as you have above, with Reds similar to ORC springs. Are the stripes on top of the colours, eg 3 orange or 3 reds etc:?:
Well, I have now a set of F 4 - B 46 - 1636 (2)/ 1635(2) - H 0 Bilstein shocks and would like to pair with a set of springs... such as the 40mm ORC ones.
Taking one step back, I had an Toyota LCII which was a scale 4 with 2 sets of tires (31" AT on road and 35" offroad) but with rims impossible to come by, I'll have to do with just one to fit 5.5J/16. I will likely mount 32" Kumho MT tyres (or anything similar to a 235/85/R16) on 5.5/16 steel rims.
Question is :?: ..do I need the 40mm lift .. and if not, which Merc springs type/colour should I fit on my G?
I am about to commit to a set of ORCs ... and would like to know if I was doing the right thing with so many cheaper reds and oranges coming up on e-bay.
FYI, I plan to take my G on pretty interesting grounds this summer, bearing in mind that I probably drive it offroad twice a year, I don't want to over do it but at the same time, don't want to get bogged down too heavily. On a scale of 1 to 4 with 1 being on road comfort and 4 hard core offroad, I'd like my G to be a 3!
Any advise is very welcome ....
I have these springs on my 280. Excellent ride, handling on and off road.

Changing springs might not improve your left-side balance problem, it is a common fault on many Gs. There is even a long detailed procedure to cure it involving undoing some suspension bits and retightening them, but it is fairly labour intensive; I don't know anyone who has tried it.
However if your springs have never been replaced and you think they might be on their way out, then it is better to have them changed as you've done the shocks already. Would've been easier to do them all at once, granted, but sometimes you don't have the luxury of advance knowledge!
Oh I see, sorry missed that point. Other than checking the springs are seated properly and maybe rotated so they are symmetrical, I'm not sure what else to recommend.
I found the thread that talks about it on P3, interesting reading:
