G on Top Gear
i cant believe i am the first to mention this, but did anyone else see the g on top gear this week as they left miami?
Tom
no ,no, tell me more....
Very fleeting glimpse on the highway out of Miami.
I've just had a loopy prius owner abuse me in Tesco's car park for not driving a hybrid?! when is this going to end!
I am waiting for that to happen to me - I have a whole argument around why the Prius is worse for the environment....
i was absolutely furious, i nearly followed him and rammed him off the road (not my usual behaviour but a bad morning followed by a long haired aussie starting that arguement, i was in white rage by the time i got to the veg section in tescos)
its such an ugly car, you have to think, what middle aged man is happy and complete when he is driving one of them?
What were you driving at the time?
The Prius is a car for people who want to make a statement about helping the environment because its trendy without thinking through the entire repercussions of owning one. Hybrids look good on paper but in reality are not that great for the environment when one considers the entire lifecycle of the vehicle from design through to use and disposal.
a 1997 red peugeot 306 1.4!
my brother said to me if he's so pro environment whys he buying food from tesco who ship it in from all around the world?
also, my dads friend who owns a large waste company is laughing every time he sees one as the batteries will have to go through his plants when theyre finished!
i wish i was in a g!
That is too much! A Peugeot 306 and he was harping on you!
And your brother has a valid point - why is he shopping at Tescopoly
Well weve jumped to environment so I will join in.
Euro 4/5 is here and the diesel trucks will have to add a fluid to an aux tank. called add blue, or uerea or synthetic sheeps piss. it is calculated that the production of it will produce more emmissions than using it saves.
Ummm,
Cannot see why its production will be that environmentally costly as umpteen thousand tonnes per year of Urea are produced for fertilizer .
Is this not a similar product ?
Marcus
Its not quite the same, add in the trucks that deliver it are not euro 4/5 for quite some time, I accept that it is an inverse expidential curve, but seriously how difficult will it be to bypass.
did anyone see top gear last sunday, in americas deep south. risky or what, says it all.
thats the one bill!
