5-speed tranny swap

Does anyone know if the 5-speed manual transmission from a 300E or a 260E (124 body) would fit a 617a 300 Turbo diesel? I have the 5-speed that came with my nonturbo 300gd engine but have heard that these can be problematic with the extra boost of the turbo engine.

Mark,

Contact Dai on the P3 forum. He has a bearing fix for the 5-spd. Might be what you need.
