Hi Andy the regn No was issued in Central london in 1982.....the Vin No off the data plate on the heater intake duct in the engine bay would help to research if what you have now is the same as the way it was built...if no vin plate then the same number appears stamped in the the nearside front chassis leg aft of the wheel...paint colour in the engine bay and underneath the mats is harder to change if sombody resprayed the outside another colour....previous owners of the regn No can be traced....but this may not prove to be the same vehicle ....rgds
Hi Main features are ...ordered in the UK....original engine NO 110994 22 001220....auto g box....2 aux fuel tanks....tow pin in front bumper.....factory wide arches for alloy wheels....rear seat headrests....blk/grey check interior....luggage nets on back of front seats....headlamp grills ...No Bullbar.....no chrome on front axle swivels...rpm indicator...sliding rear windows how does that compare rgds

Hi Andy DVLA will have a record of the owners from the regn No...... a lengthly process ....but possible.... from that you need to contact each owner using the address and the BT online directory search facility.... then the garages they indicate did the servicing...if your V5 has previous owners addresses start there...you may get some negative response...depends how you put your questions rgds

Notwithstanding this, bullbars were not a factory option until 1989, with the launch of the 230 GE Classic. Until then, they were classed as accesories and fitted by the dealer.

Your paint code is shown in your datacard. It is 3002 Carmine red.
Luckily it is quite common so I don't think that you will encounter any problem in getting a shop to mix it for you.
MB do not sell paint to customers over here anymore. I have managed to buy a touch-up brush from them having them fill a fake "worlshop order" as if the G was to be painted by them so that they can sell the paint to me.
