Tom
Congratulation...she is looking the job.... Enjoy.
Cheers kaishi for posting my pics on my behalf,i think its great to share ones G pics with other members.Once i learn how to post my own pics i will leave richard alone!I was unable to collect it today cos i promised a close relative i would take him to nottingham to collect a nissan micra i secured for him,so my dream of driving a G in the uk after 18 years! I feel old at 35 for saying that!!!I left home today at about 11:00 and got in about 20:00 and the only thing i got stressed about other than the bloody traffic was covering 320 miles and not seeing one G!THANKS GUYS FOR THE COMPLIMENTS!!
Huss I said earlier that my G must be the best original conditioned 460 in the UK, but I must admit yours look as if it may just be in the same league. I am glad for you, enjoy your new baby, she's a beaut.
cheers mate,i have some more pics of interior which i'll post today.I will be up at the crack of dawn on sunday to go get her and meet Mr Hunter,he's the type of chap you would just like to sit down and talk to plus his wife is meant to be renowned for her cooking!!!
VERY CLEAN. nice recaro's, so how much was it, if I my be so rude.
Not at all peter,i think it helps to be open on the forum.Because of the outstanding condition its in both mechanically and cosmetically i new it was just the G i wanted,i know 463's are available for that sort of money but shabby by my standards and i'm not after 463 luxury or refinement cos its replacing my equally mint vito.and the answer is .......Mr Hunter was asking £8000 and accepted £7000 in the end.I think personally looking at what mint 460's are fetching on mobile.de and autoscout24 i havent done too bad i think..?Please give me your honest opinions.CHEERS...!
Very tidy
nice one

waiting for bills comment.
Looks nice - plus its a rarity with the wood panelling and recaros. Price to me seems well worth it!
waiting for bills comment.
why's that then :?:
He is a good mate of mine thats all, and im sure he'll be like to see it!
One thing no one has mentioned is the fact that its not got fitted carpets, just overmats!Practical or what?
Come on, someone give a logical explanation please and enlighten me as this was the first thing i noticed when buying it.Mr Hunter wasnt even aware of this.Looking forward to an answer.
well fitted carpets where extra, and guess its easier to change grubby mats than carpets.
Ahhh.....i am suprised as i thought it was a standard feature from 1986 when mercedes tried making the interior plusher. I remember our first G, A 1982 model had no carpets but every other G i owned from c reg onwards had fitted carpets.
My G haven't got carpets either, must have been a option, but rubber is definitely better. Huss, so I am not out with the price I want for mine then?
I think your G is worth the money you want, the engine and condition i think are fab!If you wonder why i didnt buy your G, its cos my wife and daughter both said that "ONE RED G IS ENOUGH!!"
very nice 8)
Very nice indeed. Good find. Well done, Sir.
Hi all Buckalec bought a white LWB a couple of years ago ... to exactly the same spec...same condition...with heated seats as well ...would not pull the skin of a rice pudding.all the "experts" of the day could not solve the problem...believe the current owner has the same problem. would be very interested to hear what this one performs like since Lee has a similar spec vehicle on the market with 47000 mls .at about the same money and I would buy it if I could have some assurances that Buckalec's white one was a "one off" congrats Huss on your new purchase.. health to enjoy rgds
Hi fixwin, mine is a 280 gel with lpg,so i have the best of both worlds being very smooth by 460 standards and economic, autogas being 45.9p/litre.I am glad i didnt buy the 300gd for bhp reasons and eagerly await seeing pics of that vehicle.Who owns that white lwb now,i would love to see pics of it if its that similar to mine.
Hi Huss I sold my 89 280ge SWB LPG ..(it has grey Mtex all through with armrests and central locking) 6 months ago.. it is fitted with two torpedo tanks mounted underneath giving 100ltrs.and a single point injector mounted above the air intake throat of the Jetronic fuel system maybe not the best for offroad but keeps the back end clear for loads.I was very impressed and the man who bought it towed a boat on a four wheel cradle from Southampton to Northern Ireland with it and travelled 400miles from a single fill of both petrol and gas rgds
