The G-Wagen's a Beauty, Eh? Canadian Soldiers Saved by Armored Merc

A few of Canada's finest ran across an improvised explosive device in the wilds of Afghanistan, and their hides were saved by the corn-fed German beef of their up-armored Gel ndewagen. While the bomb turned the vehicle into what insurance adjusters would term "a total loss," the G-Class' civil-servant brother did the job it was designed to do the soldiers got out with a few busted extremities.

What I fail to understand, my interest in Gs aside, is why the UK government does not put an order in for a few hundred of these, lhd or not, and issue them to our troops in the most dangerous areas.

Buckalec was apparently lost for words :roll:
And I understood that we did not hardly have any helicoptors -- and even fewer pilots, seems to be a little overkill for vehicle recovery.
PS
Are those telehandlers in the background top lifting ISO containers, it looks they are, some kit.
