A RHD 463 Puch? Surely not
Now this must surely be a re-badged UK-spec early 463, given that it is badged as a Puch and it appears to be RHD... but as far as I know, no 463 were ever made in RHD bearing the Puch brand. Is this an exception? Quercus, have you ever come across an example like this?
I remember that there was a website that, when entering the numberplate it would give you the make and model of the vehicle. I think it was the RAC but can't find it... does anybody know?
Cheers
i put j656eag in on hpi check and got nothing, am i reading the plate right?
I have an imaging program that says the pixcels have been altered.
Who knows? Some owners do such strange things..... Could it be a 460 with the 463 door mirrors fitted? Could it be a much newer vehicle, say 461 with an old favoured reg plate, re-grilled and 463 mirrors? It could well be a rebadge job; the PUCH badge goes straight in where the Merc star normally goes, so it ain't rocket science. It could even be a left to right conversion, tho' it horrifies me that anybody would waste so much money doing it. And ultimately, as Greeney suggests, could it me a doctored pic. It looks a bit fuzzy/odd in places. Did you take the photo, Jesus. Actually, could the original pic have been taken in a mirror and the reg plate and grill flipped after?
Here, there's a bit of a conspiracy developing here.... Who are these people? What are they doing? What's the badge on the driver's door? Is the bloke stood on the passenger seat really that short? Is the driver wearing a silly hat and, if so, why?
Tell you what, I'll e-mail a friend of mine in Graz to ask if they ever did produce Puch badged, RHD 463s. There were, at one time, a number of frustrated export, Puch-badged vehicles of various specifications for India that never got there. We ended up with one of the 461s which I had as a company car for a while. We re-badged it with a Steyr Puch "twin roundel" badge to tie it in with the Pinzgauers. That vehicle is now privately owned. I don't recall there being any 463s amongst them, but we wouldn't have taken them if there were, being more interested in the utility end of the market, as it were. :)
the website for checking a vehicle's details (some), using registration and make, can be found at

I tried with Puch and MB and that registration, no vehicle data exists
I was told the car been sold to South Africa and that it was a 300ge....that is yesterday..
