Just go to the dealer and explain what you want. I paid 8 euros in Germany. Sorry, I do not have the part numbers.

... and don't forget the complete VIN of your G so that the dealer can order the right parts!

Re: Gear linkage bush No

Anyone know if the part numbers ELVIS used are the same for a 463?

Reason I ask is tried to get some this AM and failed due to the can’t be arsed parts dept. at Shrewsbury (Chester are no better based on previous dealings). They can barely be civil in their attitude either. Suggesting I shouldn’t really be bothering them with a commercial vehicle. Compete t***s. Promised to call back but you just know they never will.

Having had numerous lease cars and hence having to deal with main dealers (I wouldn't go near them normally) I can honestly say MB are at the bottom of a very deep pit of C***.

Anyway rant over and I would be grateful for any help in this.
Cheers,
Russ

Re: Gear linkage bush No

Russ,

I think that you should write to Mercedes Stuttgart sending a copy to those idiots at MBUK complaining about the "service" you receive from their dealers.

I am almost completely sure that the parts Twodogs listed are the same for an early 463 GWagen. I tried the EPC with my VIN and it gave the following results:

6x A 000 994 41 60 Clips

2x A 000 992 10 10 Bush (to gearbox # 717.436 6 013117 or 717.439 1 887794), otherwise

2x A 000 992 11 10 Bush

Plus

1x A 000 992 11 10 Bush

As for the 3x A 000 992 00 10 Mounting, I cannot find this part in the EPC. If you can't find a friendly Mercedes dealer, I would buy the parts... for that kind of money, if they don't fit you can always resell them to a 460 owner.

Good luck!

Gosh everyone is at it, I've just ordered the same part for my gear linkage.
Pleasantly surprised at the price too.

Thanks for the info. Jesus :D . This sort of help is what I thought this forum was all about. Recently it seems to have slipped in to a mixture of bickering, back stabbing and mines bigger than yours syndrome  . Yes I am in a narkey mood!
