Re: Workshop manuals

This is the well-known WIS program produced by MB and used by all Mercedes garages.

The first problem is to get it to work. Apart from the fact that you might be sold an unfunctioning copy and assuming that it can indeed work, you need a computer guru to cheat your PC to believe that it is part of a network... that's the only way that it can work.

And once working you'll be very dissapointed because it is very cumbersome to work with... the information is difficult to find and it has very little about any models produced before 1995... the time when MB stopped producing paper manuals.

I have had it installed in my computer until I eventually decided that it wasn't even worth the room it took in it.

Get yourself the proper manuals if you can.

Re: Workshop manuals

The club has a copy that they can reference for Members but it is a royal pain and doesn't actually tell you a whole lot...

Who do we need to get in touch with to gain access to this very informative piece?
